I am pleased to say that I have been accepted to study PPE at Oxford! I feel that this is largely due to the help that I received from Matthew, both with my application and interview preparation

The Team

Over the last five years, we have grown the team at Bright Young Things Tuition to create a well-rounded, exciting place to work.

Malachy Guiness

Malachy Guinness  graduated from Christ Church, Oxford with a degree in Biological Sciences before co-founding Bright Young Things Tuition in 2007. Having had an excellent tutor as a child who introduced him to new ideas and exciting potentials, Malachy understands the real potential from having a good tutor.  Malachy continues to have a hands-on approach to running the business and is always looking for new innovative ways of delivering bespoke tuition to our international client-base. Malachy is currently focussed on developing online and mobile tuition applications with a couple of technology partners.

Woody Webster Co-founder of Bright Young Things Tuition

Woody St John Webster met Malachy while studying at Oxford University. At the time, they were both working for one of London's most prestigious tutoring agencies. Their friendly and enthusiastic approach to tutoring lead them  to  becoming immensely popular with their students and they soon found themselves over-stretched and over-subscribed. They had something new to offer the industry; armed with a burgeoning reputation for effective and empathetic tutoring, and an address book full of the brightest minds from Oxford and Cambridge, Malachy and Woody set out to create a bright new tutoring firm - Bright Young Things Tuition.

The tutor placement team:
The tutor placement team at BYT Tuition were recruited on the basis of their shared passion for education and their appreciation of what good one-to-one or group private tuition can add to a child's overall education, academic potential and ultimately employment prospects.

Sofia Carlson - Tutor Placement DirectorSofia Carlson  is Director of Tutoring and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Bright Young Things Tuition.  With a fantastic eye for detail and a warm, sympathetic disposition, she maintains excellent rapports with parents and tutors alike.
